Empowering Communities: A Recap of Our Ghana Workshops
At Godsekind C.I.C, our mission is to create opportunities for marginalized individuals through vocational skills training. As part of our international outreach, we conducted a series of workshops in Ghana aimed at equipping individuals with practical skills to foster self-reliance and economic independence.
The Vision Behind the Workshops
Our Ghana workshops were designed to tackle poverty by providing hands-on training in fashion design, entrepreneurship, and emotional well-being. We focused on empowering women, young people, and vulnerable individuals with skills that can open doors to sustainable livelihoods..
Key Highlights from the Workshops
- Fashion Designing Training – Participants learned essential techniques such as pattern cutting, sewing, and garment construction. This training provided a foundation for them to start their own tailoring businesses or find employment in the fashion industry.
- Entrepreneurship and Business Management – To complement the technical skills, we provided training on business development, financial literacy, and marketing strategies. This equipped attendees with the knowledge to successfully manage their businesses.
- Emotional and Mental Well-being Sessions – Recognizing the importance of holistic empowerment, we incorporated mental health discussions, faith-based encouragement, and resilience-building exercises to help participants navigate life’s challenges.
- Community Engagement and Networking – The workshops also provided a platform for participants to network, share ideas, and form support systems that will continue beyond the training sessions.
Impact and Future Plans
The workshops were a great success, with many participants expressing renewed hope and confidence in their abilities. Some have already started small businesses, while others are planning to further their training. Building on this momentum, we plan to expand these workshops to other regions, including United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and Togo, to extend our reach and impact.

This event will be a dynamic combination of a Creative Showcase and Gospel Concert, themed ‘A Night of Passion Faith & Impact’ with the tagline ‘Looking Good, Doing Good, Praising God!’.
